UCPH partner recommended for innovation prize at Yale University
Senior researcher Ida Theilade from Department of Food and Resource Economics nominated Prey Lang Community Network for an innovation prize at Yale University. Today, they are presenting the project for the committee, thus the initiative is one of two finalists selected by the committee behind the prize.
Forest activist and member of Prey Lang Community Network's (PLCN) steering committee Phai Bunleang is representing the initiative at Yale University, School of Forestry, where he will give a lecture today. Danmission, who is a partner of both UCPH and PLCN, assisted with practicalities such as procurement of passport, visa etc.
"This is a good story about what the world's professors in Forestry can learn from the forest's indigenous people, and how innovative partnerships can bring these together," says Ida Theilade about the news.
