The Pan African Society for Agricultural Engineering: Call for abstracts for the annual conference

This event is redirected by The Secretariat for Development Cooperation at SCIENCE from the Pan African Society for Agricultural Engineering.

The Pan African Society for Agricultural Engineering and its partners will host its Annual Conference in Nairobi, Kenya, on 19-21 November 2017 under the theme Engineering and Technology for Agriculture Transformation in Africa.

The objective of the conference is to provide a forum for the private, public and academic sector stakeholders to meet and explore business opportunities through networking and exchange of experience and knowledge.

The conference will have the following sub-themes.

  1. Mechanizing African Agriculture: Policy and Legal Frameworks
  2. Engineering and Technology Solutions for Irrigating Africa
  3. Agro-industries and Value Addition
  4. Engineering and Technology Solutions for Post-harvest losses in Africa
  5. Energy and Machinery for Agricultural Transformation in Africa
  6. Infrastructure and Buildings for Agricultural and Rural Transformation in Africa
  7. Environmental Management
  8. Education Systems for Enginees and Technologists for Transformation of Agriculture and Rural areas in Africa

Call for papers

Conference organising committee now wishes to invite for papers on any of the above sub themes. Authors are invited to submit abstracts of their papers to:

Timelines

  1. Abstract submission by 15 May 2017
  2. Acceptance notification by 15 June 2017
  3. Submission of full paper by 15 September 2017
  4. Publication of papers by 15 November 2017
