Join the Farming by Satellite Prize competition

This news is redirected by The Secretariat for Development Cooperation at SCIENCE from Farming by Satellite Prize.

The aim of the prize is to promote Europe’s Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Earth Observation (EO) services in agriculture. They are looking for new ideas and innovations, particularly those relying upon European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS), the forthcoming GALILEO system, or Copernicus.  Entries can be from individuals or teams, and be about any type of agriculture.

Students and Post graduates – Use your knowledge and creativity to find innovative ways to use satellite technologies to improve agriculture and the environment.

Professors and Lecturers – If you have students who have already submitted impressive work or ideas in this area, encourage them to write it up for this competition. You can also build it into your teaching programme for the year and support your students with their applications.

Registration closes 30th October 2016. Entries must be submitted by 15th December 2016. Register here.
